South Bend IN
Competing in the Elite 7on7 Passing Football Tournament at Notre Dame on Saturday the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers battled all-day after an opening 14-13 loss to St Joseph HS of South Bend IN. The Tigers went on a run to beat teams from North Scott IA, Mundelien, IL and more to compete in the Sweet 16. With a 27-14 win there the Tigers dropped their last game in the Elite 8 27-19. Again without a complete line-up and players filling positions the Tigers played hard and are competing with good teams.
Coming up the Tigers host the Red Grange Classic (RGC) 7on7 in Wheaton IL June 26th & 27th. With 32 high school football teams coming in from as far away as Mississippi the RGC will be most competitive 7on7 football tournament in the Midwest. The RGC will again be a National Qualifier for the National Selects Championship 7on7 held in Hoover Alabama in August.
