So EdgyTim had to put a mark in the sand. It was difficult for him to place highly talented team, always well-coached with big tradition a higher or lower pre-season ranking. Ranked at 14, the Tigers will have to earn EdgyTim’s respect each and every week.
Article from CSN Prep Power Rankings below:
2013 record: 8-3 (5-2); finished tied for second in the DuPage Valley Conference in 2013. Lost 10-7 to Downers Grove North in the second round of the Class 7A IHSA state playoffs.
Why did the Tigers make the CSN Preps Power Rankings? The Tigers remain a consistent winner in a season of uncertainty both statewide and in the DuPage Valley conference.
Areas of concern heading into the 2014 season? The Tigers will need to replace nearly it’s entire offensive backfield from a season ago. Senior WR Keishawn Watson (Western Michigan) remains the lone returning starter back from the 2013 skills group.
It will be a good season if: the Tigers can get off to a good early start. Wheaton South opens up at Glenbard West, will host Maine South then play at Chicago Morgan Park before ever getting into DuPage Valley conference play.
Headliners? Senior linebacker Tommy Vitale will be a three-year starter in 2014 and is verbally committed to Northwestern.
Biggest game in 2014? Sept. 19th vs Naperville Central. The Tigers will be coming off that rough non-conference slate and jump right into DuPage Valley play hosting the defending Class 8A state champs.
